One of our favourite ways that people use our temporary walling is to create an art exhibition or pop-up gallery. We meet so many fantastic artists and art-lovers, and it’s always amazing to see how our plain white walling is transformed by the beautiful paintings, photography and other works hung on it. See some photos of our temporary walling here.

We’ve been lucky enough to help out with lots of these temporary art projects and have picked up a few insights along the way, which (we hope) might help you if you’re trying to organise a temporary art exhibition show.

Secure your exhibitors

If you’re an artist yourself, you can set up your first art exhibition You are likely to have friends and colleagues who are keen to exhibit their work. If not, get online and scour social media – particularly Instagram and Pinterest – and reach out to artists who could be an asset to your pop up exhibition. It is better if they are reasonably local, which brings me to the next point…

Find your venue

You may have to think outside the box to find your ideal venue. Try your local college or university (especially art colleges) to see if they have a suitable space. Decent-sized bars and nightclubs are also worth a try, although they’re likely to charge a fee for hosting your art event. Alternatively, most towns have vacant commercial or retail premises – find out who the agent/landlord is and ask if they’d be willing to lend or lease their premises on a short-term basis. The place is empty anyway and – who knows? – one of your guests could be their next tenant plus our partition walling is completely free standing so you wont need to fix into any of the venues floor/walls or ceiling.

Promote your show

Now it’s time to make some noise! Encourage everyone who is part of your temporary art exhibition to help promote it. Set up an event on Facebook and ask all your exhibitors to invite their friends. Shout about it on Twitter and on your blog. Print fliers and posters. Contact your local newspaper and any local businesses that might be supportive. Create a buzz and people will come and you can show off your amazing art on our amazing art wall display panels.

Set up your exhibition

This is where we come in! You can buy temporary walling if you know this is an experience you will repeat, or you can rent our temporary walling if you want to try it out and see how it goes. Our white walling provides the ideal backdrop and overall structure for your exhibition – it can transform the emptiest space into a stylish gallery in no time. We can also provide spot-lighting to highlight every piece of art displayed at the pop up art exhibition as our lights are designed to match the look and feel of the exhibition panels.

Benefits of our temporary walling

  • We know money is tight; hiring our temporary walling is much cheaper than buying.
  • We’ll deliver the temp wall panels to the venue, set it up for you, break it down after the show and take it away.
  • You can stick, pin, screw or hang your artwork on the event walls and no need to repair after as we take care of that.
